The new 7.2T Daily forms part of a Beaches nationwide fleet upgrade and offers several major benefits over a conventional 7.5T vehicle.
Advantages include being more than 30% more fuel efficient, having a payload in excess of three tonnes, and fitting 10 standard pallets in the vehicle body. It is also equipped with an automatic gearbox, air-conditioned cab and cruise control as standard.
Jack Sims, Director of Beaches Logistics Group said: “This vehicle is an innovative product and offers greater fuel efficiency, an exceptional payload, and is ideally sized to cope with the increasing demand for a higher proportion of higher deliveries that we are seeing.”
The new vehicle comes complete with a body manufactured by Bodywork Solutions, which produces a comprehensive range of Curtainside and Box bodies from its base in Stourbridge, West Midlands.
This forms the first part of a seven-figure fleet upgrade across the company’s depot and is expected to be complete by the end of Q2 2018.
